Go Paperless – Here’s how to receive your monthly statements electronically on HSBCnet

Did you know you can quickly and easily switch to paperless statements today and view your commercial HSBC Bank Canada account statements online using HSBCnet ?

Electronic account statements are available to all existing HSBCnet Internet Banking customers for no additional charge, and can be accessed through the Reports and files download service on HSBCnet.

If you already received E-Channel Application Form as part of your onboarding documentation, please complete, sign and send it back to us.

To sign up for HSBCnet Statements service please download E-Channel Application Form and provide information specified below:

  1. In the Profile Owner field please enter your company’s legal name. If you would like to add accounts from more than one company, please fill in E-Channel Letter of Authority form for each of the companies.
  2. In the System Administration Control section please provide details for Initial System Administrator*. If you have more than one System Administrator, please select Add button to add more fields. For mobile phone number please provide it in format that has country code area code and phone number with no spaces (e.g. 14161234567)
  3. In the Accounts to be added to the E-Channel – HSBCnet section, please enter your customer number (first 9 digits of your account number) in the Account Number/Fund Code field and we will load all accounts belonging to this customer number automatically.
  4. In the Authorisation section please provide contact information of your company’s authorized signatories**. We will send them the final form for electronic signature.

To add accounts of another entity, please fill in E-Channel Letter of Authority, to allow company that owns HSBCnet profile to manage accounts of another entity on its behalf:

  1. In the Copy field please enter the company’s legal name that owns HSBCnet profile (this is the company specified as profile owner in the E-Channel Application Form)
  2. In the From field please enter the legal name of the company whose accounts will be linked to the HSBCnet profile
  3. In the Signed for and on behalf of the Account Holder section, please enter Full Name and email address of the authorized signatories** of the company which accounts being added to the profile
  4. In the Accounts to be added to the E-Channel – HSBCnet section, please enter your customer number (first 9 digits of your account number) in the Account Number/Fun Code field and we will load all accounts belonging to this customer number automatically.

* The named System Administrator will be set up on HSBCnet to automatically have access to all accounts and services loaded onto the E-Channel profile (now and in the future), have full administration privileges (including the set up and entitlement for all other users set up on the profile

** Please indicate signers as per the signing rules defined with the bank. Always choose the signers with the highest authority without monetary restrictions. If your signing rules say that 2 people must sign cheques, you will need to provide 2 signers in this form.

Additional information

Effective October 1, 2022, we’ll be introducing a new fee for paper account statements on commercial current and savings accounts. The fee will only apply to accounts where you’ve elected to continue receiving paper statements.

1 The paper account statement fee will apply for each statement provided on Current Accounts, Cash Management Accounts, BusinessVantage Account Package, Commercial Savings Accounts, Business Savings/Commercial Investment Accounts and Community Service Accounts and will be charged monthly.
